This incubator looks like a sturdy plastic box from the picture on amazon (No material mentioned in its ads). But when I got it I found its just a box made of foam, all the electrical pipes and switches are fixed on the foam directly. Maybe I am...

Plumed Basilisk Breeding
) Can lay several clutches of eggs in a season, each clutch containing up to 15-20 eggs oval. In captivity, the frequency of spawning can vary considerably and may correspond to the age of the female.
In my experience, keeping a colony of several basilisks proved to be the key to stimulate breeding activity. While males tend to agree with each other in a large enclosure of most of the year, during the breeding season there may be some signs of aggression that are above the typical gestures bobblehead .For this reason, I recommend a male for several females if, of course, your goal is to spread. If you have no intention of breeding the species in all, do not keep men and women together.
the proper temperature, food and lighting as described above seem to be all the needs of basil to stimulate reproductive activity. If a female is sexually mature adult male will respond to pheromones with its attempt (often with little resistance) to his horse, striking him in his powerful jaws, just behind the neck.Mating takes place when the male aligns his escape to his own, the female to this task easier by lifting his leg over his back. Copulation may take several minutes or more than an hour, and there is little that can be done to disturb the pair in this position.
2010 Baby Chicks
To raise chicks without an incubator, you have to watch your chickens until we turn "incubator". A broody hen is when she decides she will stay on the nest until the eggs hatch. This can be frustrating if you do not want the chicks or if you do not have a rooster (the eggs are not fertile), because the chicken will just stop laying eggs until she gives and which can take weeks. Meanwhile, it will rarely leave the nest briefly to eat or drink and may lose a little weight. If you have a limited number of boxes, it can frustrate the other chickens, especially if the nest was their favorite. (Yes, my hens will be online to use their preferred nest boxes, even when there are several seemingly identical boxes available.) It can also be frustrating when you have a rooster and chicks you want and none of your offspring want chickens! Like gardening, raising chickens constantly reminds me to give up my illusions of control.
Fortunately, we have a very sweet, turned black Australorp incubator near the end of June We made a nest for her in the barn and slid under her eleven eggs.We did not use a light to check if the eggs were fertile, we just tried our luck. We provided food and fresh water very near the nest so it can still eat and drink without endangering the eggs and my son would often bring treats from the garden such as worms, beetles and raspberries. Twenty-one days later, we had three chicks, four others hatched the next day....
