As Honda Ramps Up EV's and Hybrids, Fuel Cell Program Lags

TORRANCE, Calif. - the program on the Honda FCX Clarity hydrogen fuel cell marks the anniversary of two years on Sunday to deliver the first cars to retail customers.

The FCX program, however, was a bit slower than expected ramp up when it was announced in 2008. Honda said it intends to place a maximum of 200 vehicles, with customers in the U.S. to pay $ 600 per month on a lease of three years. The lease payment becomes more acceptable if we consider that it also covers the insurance for claims relating to crashes, maintenance, roadside assistance and all the hydrogen fuel car can use.

Nearly 80,000 people worldwide have expressed interest, Honda said. But only 20 vehicles with customers and on the road "in the U.S., said Steve Ellis, director of marketing for fuel cells from Honda. Approximately 10 vehicles are rented Clarity in Japan, with 10 others in Europe.

Residential Water Fuel Cell Energy System (1 of 2)

A conceptual model of a very effective (perhaps more unity) energy system for the home. At its core, the fuel cell is water, which acts both as a high efficiency water electrolyzer using no catalysts, but also acts as a fuel cell, when combined with the electronic circuit extraction (ECE). In this combination, the fuel cell produces water with an electric current through the extraction of free electrons which are thrown away once the hydrogen and oxygen atoms are broken links covelli two H atoms . Both charge a gas called HHO (Hydroxy or gas), and an electric current is produced with the fuel cell water. The HHO gas is a fuel that is composed entirely perfect for combustion applications. The majority of internal combustion engines can be modified to burn, but I chose the Quasiturbine in this design, because if it is the effectiveness and simplicity. I left out a compressor at the rear of the fuel cell water, as the Quasiturbine must operate on compressed gas or other fuels, such as steam....
