Newport Superdragons
This year, the Ryder Cup which takes place in Newport, Wales in the city where I live.
At the announcement of his entry, Newport Council desperately tried to improve the image of the city, and planned shopping centers and other developments ambitious to attract visitors to the city and far more attractive cities and close to Bristol Cardiff. Residents suffered disruption to road works and construction sites for months, even years, and it seemed like the ugliest sound, came the recession and the mall developers went bankrupt.
To liven up the place in recent months many decorations, flags and other colorful stuff was listed. In addition to this, many Superdragon recently painted by local artists and schoolchildren, form a route around the city. They are here in October 9th and there are about 100 of them, so I decided to try to photograph the coming months and to publish pictures of them here. Many things are in the center so they are easy to reach, but many are on the periphery too....
